The Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Communities and Pensioners’ Rights, Mr Neil, launched the Help to Buy (Scotland) Affordable New Build and Help to Buy (Scotland) Smaller Developers schemes on 21 January 2016.
The three-year, £195 million scheme will include over £58 million for increased support for purchases from small developers.
The prices of homes supported by the scheme will progressively reduce each year, with a maximum value of £230,000 in 2016/17, £200,000 in 2017/18 and £175,000 in 2018/19.
The Scottish Government will contribute a maximum of 15 per cent equity stake.
Home builders may register with the scheme from immediate effect. A registration form can be requested by emailing HousingMarkets@gov.scot.
The scheme will be open to buyers from 1 March 2016 onwards. No application forms can be submitted until that date.
